Our independent thinking leads to independent living

The New Futures Initiative™ helps you create successful community living options for individuals with disabilities in your own community.

Community-Based Living Options

  • 70% of individuals with disabilities in Illinois live with a family caregiver
  • 23% of those individuals live with a caregiver over the age of 60
  • Over 9,000 individuals in Illinois are on a waiting list for residential placement
  • Illinois ranks 49th in funding residential placement in community settings of 6 or less

Individuals with disabilities deserve…
A home of their own, in the community of their choice, living with people they choose.

Together, we can create new possibilities.
