"Policy, Advocacy and You" -- February 26

Center for Independent Futures is proud to co-sponsor CJE's “Policy, Advocacy and You: Success in Community Living” presented on February 26, 2015, at National Louis University in Skokie, Ill. The third annual program of its kind, this event will focus on successful community living amid changes in national and state policies that impact seniors and individuals with disabilities. People directly impacted by these policies are encouraged to attend, along with their family members and the professionals who work with them. The program will feature a variety of speakers, including self-advocates and policy experts from Access Living and the Health & Medicine Policy Group.

“Policy, Advocacy and You” will be held at National Louis University, 5202 Old Orchard Road, Skokie, Ill., on Thursday, February 26, 2015, from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. The event is free for community members, including seniors, people with disabilities, and their family and friends. The fee is $40 for professionals, who will be awarded 3 CEUs (LSW, LCSW, LCPC, and QIDP). Online registration will be available in January.
