Relax And Rejuvenate At CIF's Weekly Yoga Class

March 19, 2015

Have you ever wanted to try Yoga but worry that it might be too difficult for you? Center for Independent Futures invites you to forget your worries for an hour each week at our free community Yoga class. Led by a professional instructor who’s experienced at working with individuals with disabilities, the class welcomes attendees at all levels of skills and experience.

All CIF community members and their families can join us to reap the benefits of adding yoga into their exercise routines. “I enjoy Yoga because it makes me feel really good,” says participant Michaela Moran. “Each pose is very good for stretching different areas of the body.”

What sets CIF’s Yoga class apart is its dedicated instructor, Paul Weitz,a Registered Yoga Teacher who individualizes the class for each student. His compassion and sensitivity attune him to his students’ needs, allowing him to provide personal instruction and a customized experience for each participant. Since starting his Thai Massage and Yoga practice in 1996, Paul has helped thousands of people find greater health and wholeness through these healing arts. He draws elements from many types of Yoga, creating a flow style with an emphasis on opening the heart and working with energy.

CIF’s Yoga class is currently held on Mondays from 4-5 p.m. at Evanston Athletic Club, 1723 Benson Avenue. This class is free to all CIF community members, their family members, and CIF staff. To learn more or to sign up, call the CIF office at (847) 328-2044.
