Thank You to Progressive Services Network

May 17, 2016

Center for Independent Futures recently received a closing gift from Progressive Services Network, which gave more than ten years of support and almost $450,000 to the Chicagoland disability community. We are grateful for the work and dedication of this incredible organization.

Established in 2003, Progressive Services Network (PSN) raised funds and provided grants to best-practice organizations serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through fundraising and raising awareness, PSN supported community-based residential, vocational, educational, social, and recreational services that promote inclusion and community integration.

Over the years, PSN contributed to sixteen innovative organizations. PSN gave more than $45,000 to Center for Independent Futures, particularly supporting our Community Living Options residences and community spaces.

Center for Independent Futures staff members Margaret Tanenberg and Gerilyn Miller-Brown were both long-time members of PSN’s board. Although PSN has closed, members of its board remain committed to improving quality of life for individuals with disabilities by engaging with other non-profit organizations with similar visions.

Throughout its time of service, PSN fostered best-practice supports and services, creating more opportunities for all community members to build rich and fulfilling lives. Thank you to Progressive Services Network for your dedication to this mission and your support of Center for Independent Futures!
