VIP Academy
Lifelong learning is essential to individual growth and development and the acquisition and maintenance of skills and independence. This continuing education effort offers an array of courses held at numerous, easy-to-reach community locations. VIP Academy classes accommodate a spectrum of learning styles and skill abilities by utilizing best practice educational and facilitation techniques. All courses are hands-on and provide activity-based social experiences and community connections built on shared interests.

Previous courses have included:
• Cooking and Dinner Club at Whole Foods with Song ‘O Sixpence chef Sarah Anderson
• Safety Savvy with Northwestern University Health Care Staff and the Evanston Police Department
• An Exercise Sampler at the Evanston Athletic Club
• Street Savvy at McGaw YMCA with Tae Kwon-Do Master Joe Connelly
• Arts Exploration at Open Studio Project
• Theatre Games with Piven Theatre Workshop
• Photo Expressions at Noyes Cultural Arts Center with instructor Flo Fenneman
• Performing Arts with the Evanston Arts Alliance and Northwestern University Theatre Board
• Clay Art with Clay Works, Ltd.
• Pottery at the Pot Shop
